About the Class and Materials

Rosemaling is a traditional form of decorative folk art which originated in Norway. It uses flower ornamentation, scrollwork, lining and geometric elements in flowing patterns.

Students may bring their own materials and brushes, however, brushes and the wooden items for the class will be available for purchase, if needed, for a cost of approximately $20.  There will be a supplies list sent prior to the class with simple items like paper towels, etc.  We will be using acrylics in the class and they will be supplied by the instructor.  If you wish to use oils, please bring your own supplies.
